In this local housing guide, Florida Proton presents numerous options to help our patients enjoy a comfortable, stress-free and happy stay here in Jacksonville. There are many choices available, so we went out and found some good ones whose staff all promised to take good care of our patients. Apartments, condos, and houses are all furnished with utilities, cable, and local phone bill included in the monthly rental price. Some also include other amenities, as noted. Monthly price is prorated and length of stay is somewhat flexible to fit changing treatment schedules.
Information for each is listed below and is grouped to the four Jacksonville areas most suitable to patient housing. You can find housing on your own accord as well, but because of our relationships with our landlords we can insure patients are not surprised by hidden costs, that they are given preferential treatment during their stay, and that any issues that may arise be taken care of in a timely fashion. For these reasons we recommend that patients first explore our housing list before looking elsewhere.
With apartments, houses, hotels, RV parks and marinas to choose from, the best choice is one that makes you feel most comfortable. Please note that we do not arrange housing. That is up to you. This list is merely a guide which we hope you will find much easier than using a phonebook to locate a suitable place to stay. APARTMENTS, HOUSING, etc.
All units are well-furnished, complete with dishes, utensils, towels, sheets, TV, basic cable, local phone, iron, ironing board, vacuum, toaster, coffee maker, and utilities (often with a cap). Some offer more. All checked out clean, cheerful, safe and comfortable, though we can't guarantee it. We rely on patients themselves to help us police this list.
Area One - Near Florida Proton. (5-15 minute commute)
Area Two - South of the St. Johns River. (15-35 minute commute)
Area Three - The Beaches. (30-45 minute commute)
Area Four - North of Florida Proton. (10-15 minute commute)

We have developed hotel partners in several key areas of Jacksonville to help you find suitable housing during your days of pre-treatment consultation and scans, as well as for when you come back for a follow-up visit. Some may be suitable for longer stays.
Each of these quality hotels offers favorable rates to our patients, and most are close enough for an easy commute. Each has met our standards for cleanliness, convenience, services, and attention to detail, though, again, we can’t offer any guarantees.
